What we offer

Three ways to work with Cinderlane

Each arrangement is shaped around how a family business actually functions — not a generic consulting template.

Family Business Operational Review

  • Suitable for businesses up to 100 staff
  • Written summary delivered at conclusion
  • Operational scope only — no legal or financial advice

Family Council Facilitation

Family Council Facilitation

A half-day facilitated session for a family business council, focused entirely on operational topics such as succession of management roles, staff communication, and internal governance. Conversation-led, ending with a one-page written summary of agreed next steps.

Why Cinderlane

Practical advantages of working with us

Operational focus only

We keep conversations to operational matters. Ownership, taxation, and legal questions are referred to qualified professionals — which keeps our scope clear and useful.

Written output every time

Every engagement produces something written — a summary, notes, or a structured finding. Nothing is left to memory or goodwill alone.

Discreet and unhurried

We work at a pace that allows proper listening. Family business conversations often need time to surface the actual issue, and we allow for that.

Both family and non-family staff

Reviews and sessions include perspectives from senior non-family staff where relevant — because operational clarity depends on more than just the family's view.

No proprietary system to sell

We do not arrive with a framework that the business must be fitted into. The process follows what the business actually needs to understand about itself.

Transparent, fixed pricing

Each service has a stated price in Singapore dollars. There are no retainers with vague scope or arrangements that expand without agreement.

Take the next step

Would a structured outside perspective be useful?

Many family businesses find that certain operational questions are easier to work through with someone who is not inside the day-to-day. We are available for an initial conversation at no charge.

Common questions

Things people often ask before getting in touch

What kinds of topics does Cinderlane work on?

We work on operational matters — how the business runs day-to-day, how management roles are structured, how communication between family members and staff is handled, and how responsibilities are divided. We do not advise on ownership, shareholding, taxation, legal disputes, or estate planning. Where those topics arise, we refer to qualified professionals.

How long does the Operational Review take?

The Operational Review is structured over four weeks. This includes initial conversations, interviews with key family members and senior non-family staff, and the preparation of a written summary. The pace can be adjusted if circumstances require it, and we discuss the schedule at the start.

Is the Sounding-Board arrangement a long-term commitment?

The Sounding-Board is a monthly arrangement, and we ask for an initial period of three months so that the relationship has enough time to become useful. After that, it continues month by month. Either party can discontinue with reasonable notice.

What is the pricing and how is payment handled?

The Operational Review is S$890, the Council Facilitation session is S$230, and the Sounding-Board arrangement is S$420 per month. All prices are in Singapore dollars and are inclusive of the written outputs described in the service. Invoices are issued at the start of each engagement. We accept bank transfer.

How are conversations kept discreet?

We treat everything discussed as confidential. Written materials shared with us ahead of calls are handled with care and are not retained beyond the engagement. We do not discuss client matters with other parties. If a non-disclosure arrangement is important to you, we are happy to put one in place before beginning.

Can we start with a single session before committing to a longer arrangement?

Yes. The Council Facilitation session is a standalone half-day engagement and carries no obligation to continue. For those considering the Operational Review or Sounding-Board, we also offer a brief initial conversation at no charge, so that both parties can assess whether the arrangement makes sense.
